All classes will be lead by a certified instructor and include a mobility based warm up, strengthening exercises, development of new skills/techniques, conditioning and cool down. Please refrain from using lotions or oils on the day of pole class.

Each class involves an instructor led warm up, pole lesson and conditioning. Students will experience the excitement of learning progressive spins and tricks while improving strength, coordination and flexibility.

Pole Foundations (Intro to POle)

If you have never taken a pole class - this is a perfect place to start! In this trial classes you will learn the fundamentals of pole dance technique including basic spins and movements. All levels of fitness welcome, no prerequisites required. Students must complete Foundations : Pole (Intro to Pole) to register in any of our drop in pole classes (choreography, level 1, heels, etc.) . We recommend taking atleast 2 foundations classes before attending a Level one class.

Level One (BEginner)

If you have completed pole foundations and are ready to level up your pole technique then this is the class for you! In this class you will continue to learn fundamental pole dance technique including basic strength holds and spins. Must have completed pole foundations ‘A’ & ‘B’ or have had prior pole experience to attend this class.


Level Two - (Intermediate Beginner)

In level two you will build on the foundational elements learned in level one and bring your practice to new heights. This class will introduce students to climbing and more advanced strength holds, spins and floorwork. 


Level Three - (Advanced Beginner - Intermediate)

This class is all about taking your fitness upside down and learning the art of inversions, intermediate spins, fluidity and floorwork.


Level Four - (Intermediate)

In level four you will be perfecting your inversions, leg hangs and learning more advanced combinations, spins, techniques and holds.


Level Five - (Intermediate - Advanced)

Continue to learn and master moves that challenge your strength and flexibility

Level Six - (Advanced)

Prepare to spend your class upside down or hanging off of various limbs. Level six is all about advanced moves, holds and aerial combinations.


Level Seven - (Advanced - Pre-professional)

This is our most advanced level where students never stop learning or perfecting new and old moves. Students will be challenged with dynamic transitions, creating intricate sequences and improving their lines and fluidity.


Pole Choreography

Pole choreography classes are one-hour session based group pole and dance classes which run once weekly for 4 weeks. Students will learn choreographed routines with an emphasis on connecting tricks, combos, floor work and dance to create a routine. 


Aerial Conditioning

This drop-in group fitness class is designed to provide a full body workout and target muscles commonly used by aerialists. Pole conditioning classes can be attended by individuals with all fitness levels and exercises will be tailored to their fitness ability


Flexibility

Stretching can improve one's ability to participate in activities of daily living and performance in fitness. This class will assist in increasing overall flexibility and complement any fitness regimen.


Handstands & Balancing

Learn fundamentals of handstands and balancing. Students will learn drills for balance, proper fall technique as well as handstand variations with or without the pole. 


Stretch & Strengthen

This class combines aspects of both flexibility and conditioning techniques. This class is perfect for individuals looking to gain strength and improve their mobility.


Foot Fundamentals

Does your instructor consistently tell you to "Point your toes",  "Extend your legs" or "Don't sickle your foot" - If so then this class is for you! Foot fundamentals focuses on lower body extension from your legs to your feet! 


Open Studio

Open studio is an opportunity for students to practice skills learned in class. An instructor will be present during open studio for safety, however, practice time will be self directed. Open studio is restricted to students of Red Deer Pole Academy.
